The final weeks

From the long run to the start line.

Three moments from the last weeks before the race.

  1. −3 weeks

The longest run of the block.

Sunday has the longest session in the plan. Afterward it shows as done in your week, with pace and splits.

  2. −1 week

    Running less, on purpose.

In race week your volume drops. The taper is written into the plan, so you don’t have to talk yourself into it.

Your apps

The coach plans, Run records.

Both work from the same week. Whatever you accept from the coach shows up in habmate Run as a session with a target pace.

Principle · The same number everywhere

No app keeps its own version of your best time.

Check your watch, your iPhone or the web, and your half marathon best is the same on each.

Questions

Questions about the half marathon.

Training for a goal time? The Marathon goal time page shows sub3.

What’s a taper?

The stretch just before the race when you run less, so you start rested. The coach puts it at the end of the block.

Can I change the race date later?

Yes. Ask the coach for a new draft with the new date and accept it if it works for you.

Does the race count as a personal best?

Yes, if it’s faster than your previous half marathon. There are personal bests for 5K, 10K and the half marathon.
