For challenges with friends

A challenge with rules you set together.

Thirty days of getting up earlier, ten thousand steps a day, a run every day for a month. Things like that last longer with friends, especially with a leaderboard running and rules everyone knows.

Inside a challenge

Challenges are part of habmate, on the web and on iPhone.

Inside a challenge

From the link in the group chat to the last day.

Four friends, thirty days, a run or a workout every day.

  1. Day 0

    Invite by link or code.

You create the challenge and drop the link in the group chat, plus the six-character code for anyone on the go. Joining means agreeing to the rules.

  2. Day 9

The run counts on its own.

The requirement is “run or workout logged”. A run in habmate Run meets it without you tapping anything in the challenge.

  3. Day 21

    Everyone but you.

In the evening you get a notification that everyone else is done. Their photos are in the feed, with fixed reactions underneath.

Principle · You never log anything twice

If you ran, you don’t have to prove it again.

When a run or a workout is the requirement, the logged session meets it on its own.

Questions

Questions about challenges.

Is your group ready to start? Join the list and you’ll be the first to know when it opens.

What happens when someone misses a day?

The challenge decides. Strict means starting over, with a target something like 25 out of 30 days is enough, and with jokers a few days are free.

Can everyone see my photos?

Photos are shared with the challenge by default. You can set any single one to “only me”.

Can I join public challenges or add friends?

No. Challenges are meant for your own circle, and you join by link or code. There’s no public search and no friend lists, and no comments or chat either.
